WLFI Puts $250K Into the Bonus Pool
The Trump-linked crypto firm announced it would serve as the presenting partner of a new Performance of the Night bonus pool for UFC Freedom 250, the mixed martial arts event taking place June 14, 2026, on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C. UFC CEO Dana White confirmed the details at a press conference on Friday at the Lincoln Memorial.
“World Liberty Financial will serve as a presenting partner and are adding another $250,000 to bonuses for the fighters that night,” White said. “Two fighters who earn Fight of the Night are going to earn $400,000 each. Then the two Performance [of the Night] bonuses will get $425,000 each.”
The WLFI-funded portion of those bonuses will be distributed in USD1, the company’s U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin. Combined with a separate $1 million CRO bonus from Crypto.com for Fight of the Night winners, the total payout pool reaches approximately $1.65 million, a record for UFC post-fight bonuses.
Who Is WLFI
World Liberty Financial is a Delaware-based crypto venture co-founded in 2024 by Donald Trump and his sons, with Trump publicly listed as “Chief Crypto Advocate.” Trump’s financial disclosures have listed WLFI holdings valued at over $50 million.
CEO Zach Witkoff framed the UFC partnership as a demonstration of what USD1 can do outside of traditional banking channels.
“A victory in Washington should mean money in your pocket immediately, not when the bank opens,” the WLFI executive said.
Witkoff added:
“USD1 makes U.S. dollars more accessible and faster than ever before. We believe this is the future of finance, and we’re excited to partner with UFC.”
WLFI branding will appear inside the octagon and across the broadcast. The company first teased the partnership around June 10, with UFC confirming full bonus details the following Friday.
Polymarket Bets Cross $4.1 Million
Prediction market traders have put more than $4.1 million in volume across 18 UFC Freedom 250 markets on Polymarket heading into Sunday’s card.

The biggest market by volume is the Gaethje vs. Topuria headliner at $2 million, with Ilia Topuria priced as an 80% favorite. The co-main event between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title drew $1 million in bets, with Pereira holding a razor-thin 51% edge.
Other fight markets show clearer separation. Sean O’Malley sits at 79% over Aiemann Zahabi, Mauricio Ruffy is 81% favored against Michael Chandler, Josh Hokit is at 78% over Derrick Lewis, and Bo Nickal leads Kyle Daukaus at 73%.
The Side Markets
Political prop bets drew notable action as well. Polymarket puts a 94% chance that Elon Musk attends the event and an 86% probability that Donald Trump mentions “White House” in remarks. There is a 70% chance Trump dances, a 58% chance he wears a red tie, and a 52% chance he hugs someone. Announcers saying “White House” carries 99% odds.
Weather and fight outcome props round out the slate. The market leans 57% toward the over on 2.5 knockouts and puts a 31% chance on a weather delay.
Bread and Circuses
The event has drawn pointed criticism from political opponents and academics. Cornell classics professor Mike Fontaine drew a direct comparison to Roman rulers using spectacle to manage public attention, citing Juvenal’s “panem et circenses” as a framework for what UFC Freedom 250 represents to its detractors.
Supporters see it differently: a historic, patriotic celebration of American sports culture tied to Flag Day, President Trump’s 80th birthday, and the country’s 250th anniversary preparations. A federal judge allowed the event to proceed after an attempt to block it was denied.
The fights begin at 8:00 PM ET on Paramount+ with the main card featuring Topuria vs. Gaethje at the top.
