‘The Liberation’ trailer sees Carrie Coon joining Lily James’ cult
A big name cast combines with family drama and a possible cult in the trailer for The Liberation, Guy Nattiv’s 1980s-set thriller about a mother who leaves her family for the allure of something new.
Carrie Coon plays Rita, a Holocaust survivor who leaves her husband (Tracy Letts) and two daughters (Odessa Young and Bella Ramsey) to join an all-female commune led by an enigmatic spiritual leader (Lily James). But things take a tricky turn when her daughters show up looking for her, and Rita has to make a difficult choice.
The Liberation hits cinemas this winter.
