Bitcoin, Ether ETFs Lose $391M as Single-Day Rebound Vanishes
Bitcoin ETFs Shed $261M as Fidelity, BlackRock Reverse Course
Tuesday’s institutional rebound lasted less than a day.
Bitcoin ETFs lost $261.46 million on Wednesday, with the selling concentrated in the same funds that had powered the previous session’s recovery.
Fidelity’s FBTC shed $152.73 million after attracting $103.06 million on Tuesday. Blackrock’s IBIT lost another $110.94 million, reversing its previous $65.89 million inflow. Bitwise’s BITB provided the lone positive reading at $2.22 million. Trading value increased to $2.29 billion across the bitcoin funds, while net assets fell to $104.83 billion.
The speed of the reversal offers a useful read on institutional conviction. Investors remain willing to re-enter bitcoin, yet those allocations are proving sensitive to changes in sentiment. Bitcoin ETFs are now down roughly $151 million through the first three sessions of the week.
For bitcoin’s price, that leaves ETF demand looking less like a stable floor and more like an active source of two-way positioning.

Ether’s 1-Day Recovery Proves Fragile
Ether ETFs followed a similar pattern.
Tuesday’s $24.84 million inflow ended 10 consecutive sessions of withdrawals. Wednesday brought a $129.51 million exit, quickly restoring the dominant trend.
Blackrock’s ETHA lost $109.83 million, while Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust shed $18.76 million and Franklin’s EZET recorded a smaller $919,290 withdrawal. Trading activity across the ETH products reached $866.09 million, with net assets dropping to $15.20 billion.
Ether funds have now lost about $190 million this week alone. The brief positive session offered little evidence that the broader institutional de-risking cycle has finished.
Solana and HYPE Show Broader Risk Reduction
Pressure remained visible further down the crypto risk curve.
Solana ETFs lost $1.29 million through Bitwise’s BSOL, extending their outflow streak to eight consecutive sessions. Net assets declined to $1.66 billion.
The duration of that streak is significant. Solana entered October after months of resilient institutional demand. Persistent withdrawals now suggest higher-beta exposure remains difficult to sustain in the current environment.
HYPE ETFs also showed unusually broad weakness. All three active products recorded outflows: Bitwise’s BHYP lost $1.82 million, Grayscale’s HYPG shed $1.73 million, and 21Shares’ THYP lost $1.40 million. The category finished with $4.95 million in net redemptions.
XRP provided a small counterweight, attracting $740,410 through Bitwise’s fund.
Zcash Finally Finds a Buyer
Zcash delivered one of Wednesday’s few positive signals.
Grayscale’s ZCSH attracted $3.68 million, its first inflow since the redemption cycle began in late September. Net assets closed at $644.52 million.
The inflow is modest compared with the asset decline ZCSH has experienced with ZEC’s recent price plunge—down nearly 22% in the last two weeks—though it may indicate that lower valuations are beginning to attract selective buyers.
The wider flow picture remains defensive. Tuesday showed that investors are prepared to buy dips in bitcoin and ether. Wednesday showed how quickly that capital can reverse. For the rest of the week, the durability of the next inflow matters more than the size of any single positive session.
