Aviva Investors Brings £22 Billion Sterling Fund to the XRP Ledger: So Why Is XRP Still Stuck Below $1.30?
Aviva Investors on Monday, October 26, launched a tokenized share class of its £22 billion Sterling Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger with Ripple as technology partner, its second fund on the network after a dollar version in July. It is the biggest XRP news of the week so far, and XRP price, once again, barely noticed.
XRP trades at $1.29 on Monday, down 0.2% in 24 hours and 16% in a month. Ripple keeps adding banks and fund managers, and the XRP ETFs are still taking in money.
So why is the price drifting toward its October lows?
Big news as Aviva Investors announces the launch of a tokenized share class of the Aviva Investors Sterling (GBP) Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger.
The Sterling (GBP) Liquidity Fund is Aviva Investors’ largest fund at around £22 billion in assets under management, and this move…

XRP News: What Did Aviva Put on the XRP Ledger?
A tokenized share class of its largest fund. The Sterling Liquidity Fund is an Irish money market fund, launched in 2002, that holds short-term sterling debt for professional investors.
Aviva’s announcement calls it a “digital twin”: the fund keeps running as before, with BNY Mellon holding the assets, while the new share class lives onchain for investors holding digital wallets.
Aviva put in £50 million ($66 million) of its own money, taking the total across its two tokenized funds above £86 million ($116 million). Custodian Komainu and tokenization platform Licuido also worked on the launch.
That makes it the second large Ripple deal in two weeks. On October 12, Standard Chartered said it now holds Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin for institutional clients through its Dubai branch. It also plans, with Ripple and LMAX Group, to let RLUSD count as trading collateral at LMAX while the tokens stay at the bank. No launch date has been set for that part.
How Do XRP ETF Inflows Compare With Bitcoin, Ether and Solana Funds?
Small in dollars, but level with Bitcoin for their size. US spot XRP ETFs took in $4.25 million last week, all of it on Wednesday and Thursday, after a $1.84 million outflow the week before ended a 13-week inflow streak.
In the same week, spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $301.2 million while Ether funds lost $220.7 million and Solana funds about $17.6 million. Measured against the money already in each product, XRP looks very different:
| Spot ETFs | Net flow, week to Oct 23 | Net assets | Flow vs assets |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | +$301.2 million | $106.28 billion | +0.28% |
| XRP | +$4.25 million | $1.48 billion | +0.29% |
| Ethereum | −$220.7 million | $14.98 billion | −1.47% |
XRP funds grew at the same rate as Bitcoin funds, while Ether funds lost about 1.5% of their assets in a week and are heading for their worst month of 2026. There is a catch. XRP ETFs have taken in $1.80 billion since launch but hold $1.48 billion, about 18% less than the money put in, as XRP’s slide ate into the holdings.
Buyers sitting on losses tend to add slowly, and last week’s money came in on two days, then stopped.

XRP Price Analysis: Can XRP Hold $1.25?
The partnerships aren’t moving the chart. XRP opened Monday at $1.2961 and slipped to $1.2881 after Aviva’s news, keeping it inside the $1.25 to $1.40 range it has traded in since mid-October.
Resistance is the band between $1.362 and $1.371, where the daily 50 EMA and 200 EMA now sit almost on top of each other. XRP has closed below both every day since October 12. Its one push through them, to $1.3992 on October 21, reversed the next day. Support is $1.25 to $1.26, where buyers stepped in on October 18 at $1.2562 and again on Saturday at $1.2546.
Below that, the chart has little until $1.05, the base XRP left in the August 20 breakout.

A daily close above $1.371 would put the October 21 high of $1.3992 back in reach and turn the moving averages from a ceiling into a floor. A close below $1.2546 would break the double bottom and leave the $1.05 area as the next real support. For now, XRP is holding the floor without taking out the ceiling.
Aviva and Standard Chartered show where Ripple’s business is heading: fund shares and stablecoins for institutions, with XRP as the network’s fee and reserve asset. That is good XRP news for the ledger.
For the price, the ETF buyers who are already underwater will matter more this week.
