Breez Enables Bitcoin-to-Stablecoin Transfers Across 30+ Blockchain Networks
Bitcoin Lightning Network infrastructure provider Breez has announced the launch of a new feature for its Software Development Kit (SDK) that allows developers to enable users to send USDC and USDT stablecoins directly from a bitcoin balance. The update enables instant, non-custodial transactions from bitcoin balances to over 30 external blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Solana, and Tron.
Cross-Network Routing and Technical Architecture

According to the company:
- The Breez SDK automatically detects the recipient’s wallet address type, identifies an optimal routing path, and displays the exact delivery amount, network, and transaction fees prior to user confirmation.
- The technical architecture relies on launch liquidity providers Flashnet and Boltz to execute the conversions.
Breez noted that the infrastructure is built on an open architecture designed to integrate additional conversion providers over time while maintaining a non-custodial framework.
Integration and Interoperability
The company stated that the feature also supports apps utilizing its “Stable Balance” functionality, allowing users to hold USD-denominated balances and send funds across the supported networks. The integration utilizes the Bitcoin Lightning Network as an interoperability layer to bridge bitcoin with the broader stablecoin economy. The capability is currently live for developers using the Breez SDK and is active on the company’s reference application, Glow. Breez indicated that while the feature is currently limited to outbound transfers, functionality to receive stablecoins from external networks is planned for future release.
